Daniel=Warrior Cowboy Princess??

The other night we put all of the kids to bed, we heard someone up walking around but assumed it was Trevor, he had been allowed to stay up and play on the computer. He then ran downstairs and told us we had to come see Daniel.
Daniel had gotten out of bed, dressed in Morgan's Rapunzel costume, put on one of her boots AND one of his, and then got his "Bipppidi Boppidi Boo Sword", (that is what he calls it), and fallen asleep in the hallway on the floor.
This is what we at the French's call Blackmail to be used at a later date.

Justin...Oh Justin!

If any of you know me at all you know I have one child who sees life completely differently from anyone else. Life is fun, an adventure, and he RARELY thinks of the consequences....this would be Justin. The picture above is from about a week ago when he was out playing with Andrew. I asked him what happened and he said he climbed a tree and did not think he would fall out of it. Then within a day or two he lost a tooth. Luckily this happened a few weeks before school starts.

The thing is, I was not surprised at all about this. If it would have been any of the other kids I would have been so shocked at how "banged up" they look, but not Justin. He lives his life with no fear and trying to find ways to have the most fun. I LOVE this about him!! However, it also causes me so much worry because he does not think anything through until it is over and he realized it was a bad choice.

UGH...I think I am going to be getting some gray hair soon!

So we went to explore the beach this weekend and we had a great time. Actually I was a big baby about not wanting to go but Burton and the kids had a great time. I was reminded of the scripture, "Do everything without complaining or arguing..." (Phillippians 2:14), and it irritated me even more because while I was pouting and complaining I was completely justified, or so I thought. Then after the day was over to realize I had wasted an entire day being a brat and taking the energy to complain, I could have used that energy to encourage, support,and enjoy
life with my family. That would have been a much better memory!!
So that being said, I took some great pics of the kids and I am hoping to get to the beach next Monday when Burton is off of work, and maybe I can practice doing everything without complaining, obviously I need to work on it.

Our New Home

So I have been able to post a picture on my MySpace profile of our new home, however I know some of you have not seen the pictures so I thought I would post some one here. It is a 2000 square foot home that we bought January 8th, 2007. The builder was finishing it up right as we were pulling into North Carolina so it was such a blessing!!! It has 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, and an enormous bonus room that is the size of the garage. The bonus room also has a walk in closet (great for the toy storage) and an "office" off of it. We have Drew, Justin, & Daniel in the bonus room and Trevor is in the "office" room. It is big enough to fit his bed, dresser, and desk. So all 4 boys on one side of the house and Mo and us are on the other side of the house. What, you ask, do we use the last bedroom for? It is for Stephanie's craft room, YEAH!!! Also it has the washer and dryer...upstairs!!! Really, what could be better, as much laundry as I do and no more carrying it up and down the stairs. I really can not put into words how much we love our home so you should all come by and see it, just not at the same time. God is so good to us!!!!

Morgan has a new haircut

Hi all,

I thought I would post some pictures of Morgan's new haircut. She was all for cutting off all of that baby hair until she sat in the chair at JCPenney. Then as soon as the lady brought out the scissors, she went nuts. You would have thought they were trying to cut off her arm. However, once they cut off the first section she was okay, she had thought it was going to hurt. Now she has a cuter, shorter do and looks like such a little girl, not our baby girl anymore.
